Sherman McFarland, JD

Postdoctoral Fellow

Sherman McFarland is a postdoctoral fellow. Before joining the Johns Hopkins toxicology policy group, Sherman worked as a litigation attorney for slightly more than two years at a law firm, whereby he participated in two trials and worked on cases in the practice areas of products liability, general liability, medical malpractice, and construction.  Sherman occasionally does work as a policy volunteer for the Humane Society of the United States, and serves as a legal volunteer for Animal Partisan.  He is looking forward to using his research, writing, and advocacy skills to contribute to the great work of his colleagues, and to lobby for the adoption of non-animal based testing methods.

Sherman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from Gettysburg College with a minor in German, and a Juris Doctor from the UC-Davis School of Law.
