Daria Bednarczyk, JD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Daria Bednarczyk is a recent JD graduate from Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS) with a robust academic background. In addition to a JD, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Science, a Master of Business Administration degree, and a Master of Environmental Law and Policy degree.
Daria is a New England native having lived in Connecticut, Maine, and Vermont. Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time with her canine companion, Topanga, traveling across the globe, tending to her many plants, and reading.
Prior to entering law school, Daria worked as a research assistant for a research lab, where she witnessed firsthand the suffering of lab animals. This shaped her decision to enter law school and obtain a concentration in Animal Law. She is now a fierce animal welfare advocate, having previously worked with the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Animal Partisan, Animal Outlook, Humane World for Animals, and the Virginia Attorney General’s Animal Law Unit.
Daria is excited to join the JHU Toxicology Policy Team, where she hopes to utilize her concentration in Animal Law in conjunction with her science background to help influence and shape policy decisions.
