Akosua Dufie, LL. B, QCL (JD Equivalent), LLM is a dual qualified lawyer admitted to practice before the Supreme Courts of New York and Ghana. She holds an LL.B. from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a Qualifying Certificate in Law (JD Equivalent) from the Ghana School of Law, and an LL.M. in International Legal Studies, along with a Certificate in International Human Rights Law from Georgetown University Law Center. Over the past decade, Akosua has focused her legal practice on litigation and criminal prosecution -both as a private legal practitioner and as a prosecutor at the Office of the Attorney General in Ghana. Akosua is deeply passionate about advocating for the rights of vulnerable groups, including animals. She intends to deploy her advocacy and analytical skills to promote a paradigm shift from animal-based research methods to New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in the United States and across the world.
